Close your Eyes,
Breathe out slowly three times and get ready to Wake Up and Dream.
Guided
Imagery Exercises are short inductions given by the imagery guide to the
dreamer. These inductions lead the dreamer into waking images that are
often as intense and clear visually as the most powerful night dreams.
As the waking images unfold, they are both diagnostic and
transformational. They help you to delineate and construct your own inner landscape
and access your own richness, power and beauty. They guide you to bring forth
the lessons you have learned within and to manifest them in your everyday life.
Waking dreams occur in a waking state which is
neither hypnotic nor trancelike. The dreamer is fully conscious and alert.
He enters this level of visual thinking by means of a simple and very quick
relaxation. He is then able to explore and move in the world of his dreams
and images which lie hidden behind his rational thought process.
Reversing is an exam of
conscience done backwards, at night when you are lying in bed, eyes
closed. Reversing is the last thing you do before falling asleep.
It brings about what the Kabbalists call Tshuva which is often translated as
repentance, but which really means turning away from, allowing you to
face a new perspective.
The Life Plan helps you to identify thwarted
instincts, reactions, emotions and secondary instincts. When you are
able to tease out and distinguish your habitual patterns of behavior,
you will find yourself better equipped to choose how to respond,
instead of reacting, to any given situation.
Chanting is the process by which
you etch an intention into your body and mind. The sounds and words
used remind you to return to your intended goal when you are tempted to react. It
is sufficient for you to recall the chant or visualize the images elicited in
you by the chant to return you to your original intention.
Dream Opening is an integral part of the training. A recent dream is
presented by one of the students. After the original dreamer has
narrated his dream, the participants become the secondary dreamers of
the dream and give their own responses and associations to the dream.
When all the participants have spoken, the dream is returned to the
original dreamer to respond with comments of his or her own. This process is
called "opening up" the dream. The students
learn to distinguish four levels of opening: the story, the pattern, the
question, the secret; and to ponder whether the dream is open-ended or
completed.
Morphology is the study of human shape. Studying the morphology of
others teaches us to respect their differences and our otherness as
both having a place of choice in the world. It also teaches us how to
recognize, identify and trust our body language and our "instinctual"
responses to others. This class develops sound practicality and loving
kindness in judgment.
The prayer group consists of
two parts. The first part is a series of guided exercises, consecrated to learning
and practicing healing exercises and prayer for others or for a group
situation.
The second part is a prayer circle intended to enable the practitioner to
reach for and cleave to the Divine.

The robe of
many colors was handed down to the firstborn of each generation until
Joseph, in the Bible Story, was given it, lost it, and regained it. We
too have lost our robe of many colors, our true inheritance. Let us
trust Joseph and other Bible heroes to illuminate our way through the
maze of our own darkness toward this man of light who gazes back at
us glowing softly, and sometimes blazing, from the mirror of our soul.
The Tree of
Life is the generic "Image of God" or pattern of life which we find also
reflected in our bodies, emotions and minds. Conceived and passed down
to us by the ancient Kabbalists, it provides all practitioners with a
clear description and practical information about the pathways that lead
to an enlightened life or Tzadikut which means "holiness."
